I did this shot for my dad and will be ordering this week and would first like your thoughts on it and if there is something I should change.
I know not everyone will like this style processing but my dad really likes it so any tips other then make it more natural looking?
Also where should I order it from? I am thinking a 20x30 canvas of this. I have an exposuremanager account so that was my first thought but I could also do mpix or americanframes or anyone you may suggest that you have experience with. This is my first canvas so I don't know who does the best work. Thanks.
update:
Ordered it and it should be here monday. I got a 20x30 gallery wrap from blackwaterprinting. I think I may order a smaller 10x15 metallic print for myself later. Will post how it looks when it gets here monday.

Fun shot! Sorry I don't know anything about printing, but as far as thoughts go:
I looks like the horizon is tilted a bit and makes the picture feel a little askew...

Thanks Wendy, I completely overlooked that. Spending this much money I want to get it right lol. I printed out a proof and was really happy with the detail and color. |

This is super interesting! I never really looked into canvas before this post! What resolution is recommended for canvas? 300 ppi? |

I have EM also and have ordered several canvases over the years. I prefer a relatively new company on the block -- Artistic Photo Canvas. Really great quality, and reasonable pricing. Slightly pricier than EM wholesale pricing (but only on the order of $10-20), but they also offer many additional sizes than EM. They have great documents online going into detail on how to prepare images for canvas print (see the "Help" and "Techniques" links). |

If you sign up for a new account at BlackRiverImaging, they give you a $50 credit on your first order. Their canvas prints/gallery wraps are currently 30% off so you could get one for free (or practically) depending on size. I got mine from there a week ago and was quite happy with it. I like it better than the one I got from CanvasOnDemand. And they offer free shipping.

I think this would be good on canvas. CanvasOnDemand is what I've used in the past. They recommend 150 dpi at final print size. Check out their site. They have instructions on how to size if you want to wrap the image around a gallery frame as well. |

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'm not sure what dpi is recommended but my full size image is 6000x9000 and 300 dpi so I'm safe on that. Gonna check out BlackRiverImaging and see about that one. thanks again.
For those interested I used 3 shots and tonemapped 2 images (one really strong and one more simple) in photomatix then combined in PSE. I also used Topaz and masked and also did some dodge and burn. |

If you do not go with canvas I would go with MPIX metallic paper, it lights up the colors and really works well with blues. |

I ordered my wedding canvas thru shutterfly. I found their prices inexpensive compared to many and the quality was great.

Shutterfly's color correction is "On" by default; beware that feature because it often undoes your finest editing and tries to "fix" your shots that you've already post-processed. |

Yes but you can select it off... which is what I did. most of my wedding photos were digitally altered ( my photographer sucked so I had to "enhance" everything)

i second PapaBob 's suggestion of metallic paper from mpix. its SUPER dynamic and will really make this picture look even more stunning.

Got it in today and it looks amazing. It translated very well to canvas and they did a great job. Only time will tell how it will hold up but it looks very solid. |
