This picture appeared in the Corning Leader last Friday, I wish I had taken it!
This is a scan of the paper. That is my daughter Ellie, you can see the story here: Take the Reins

The camera the man was using could shot 8 frames PER SECOND! I was drooling!

neat!
Since she is your daughter, the paper might give you a copy or at least allow you to buy a copy of the original shot. Ask them! :)
(not a photo, but I just asked the dealership - while in for maintenance on my car - for an old tire, and they gave me one! Now the kids will have a tire swing! I was at first sure they would say "no", but then decided asking couldn't hurt.)

How exciting it is for kids when they see themselves in the newspaper...be sure you buy some acid-free paper to mount your newspaper copy on for your family scrapbook! :o) |

There is also an archiving spray readily available that makes newspaper and other such acid laden papers acid-free :) (I think it is like $40, but worth it if you have something priceless like this).

You won't be happy to hear this. Our local newspaper will only sell a print of a picture for $35 each and won't release the file. Hopefully, your local paper is friendlier than ours. |

I have no idea if they are or not. I as given the offer to buy a print of the shot but I passed, need to save every single penny for our Montana trip in August. I don't even have gas money this month and I still need to find someplace to park my car in Buffalo, NY for 10 days until my husband comes back so I won't have to pay for airport parking!

Nice to see someone local to me. I saw that article in the paper and it prompted me to call about getting my daughter, Emmaline, lessons.
