I am so thrilled, this is my second publication, its front page of the Family section and in color! I know this sounds like an acceptance speech (lol) but I would like to thank John Setzler for helping me communicate with the editor of the local newspaper, his advice was gold. I've been in a bit of a rut lately since my last few entries have bombed, but this was a great pick-me-up, look out Communication Challenge!

Here are a few of the originals, Landscape and Portrait.

When I was communicating with the editor I called John up and he was more than helpful, he helped me communicate with the editor in a more professional way. John also works for the paper and he was able to tell me details about what the editor expected.

Congrats Dana :)

Is that in the Sunday paper? I didn't pick one up today. I had been looking for the photos but never saw them run and didn't know if Eric was gonna use them or not. I don't see him very often, and when I do, it's late on Friday afternoon...

Doesn't the misprint make the paper even that much more valuable and special. :o)

Did you shoot some at Oktoberfest this weekend?

No, we didn't go this weekend. We went on a day trip to McGalliard Falls Park in Valdese and did some shopping. I'm sure you went, get some good photos? Thinking of going to the Charlotte History Museum soon, I read online that they do tours on Sundays and admission is free on Sundays also. They have the oldest house in Charlotte on site, looks to be pretty interesting.

Awesome job, Dana! Pretty soon you'll be famous and we'll be able to say we "knew you when..."
Keep up the good work!
