Thanks all who left comments on my image. I think I made an editing choice (the blue coloring) which you either love or hate. I'll post a B&W version later today, don't have editing software on this PC.

Any opinions on the outtakes ?

my entry
my outtake with soft light
and as "le penseur" (= the thinker), famous statue by Rodin
,
like it can be seen here

Did I make the right choice ? Any comments appreciated.

Thanks,

I, on the other hand, much prefer your challenge submission. I think it is excellent. I agree that you might have scored higher if you had gone without the blue but I personally liked it.

here is the B&W version.

I prefer the blue one myself.

Personally, I prefer the blue to the black and white. I think it gives it more of a feeling of energy, which is very complimentary to the shot. Nice job!

Thinking is good, but my first thought was that it looks like he is sitting on the toilet, therefore I thing the discus is better.

I don't like the added grain in the sitting one .. and I prefer your submitted shot. I think you made the best choice :) Awesome Job
