I want to thank everyone who voted for my "Radiant" photo! It was such a wonderful surprise to win a blue here on my first entry. I certainly wasn't expecting it! WOW! I can't believe it. And I really consider it such an honor to win here. The pictures in this challenge were WONDERFUL!
Congratulations to BradP and smokeditor and all the rest of the top 10! There were amazing pictures posted here!
I'm on cloud Nine! Thanks again everyone!

At the end of the miniature challenge, I left a comment about the fairly poor overall quality of the submissions.
I have to say that for this challenge, I was superimpressed. I didn't vote on this one, so I've just now looked at the top 30 or 40 images and they're all beautiful!
They all show different perspectives on botany in a creative way. Thanks for the sights, everyone!

I want to say that this challenge has inspired me because it means that even newcomers can win challenges. I have been around for a while, and barely ever hit a 6, but I have hope that one day someone will love my work! Congrats on your ribbons!

| Congrats. I came in 4th with my first entry here on DPC. People were expecting great things from me. I folded under the pressure and it took me a very long time to win my first ribbon. It would have been easier to get that out of the way like you did. :) Keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing more of your photographs in the future. |

Wow! Thanks for all the encouraging comments everyone. I too was impressed with the entries for botany - amazing variety and quality. Makes it a special win for me because the competitors were such quality work. I am looking forward to seeing the entries for the next challenge I enter.
