The world of video (TV and commercials in particular) are training us to see things in instantaneous bursts. The implication is that comprehension should be instantaneous.

In order for it to be art, is must be more than a mere record.
Both I think are worth a listen and encapsulate a lot of what I feel is often lacking here. The rest of the blogs are almost all rewarding and thought provoking too.
