Lovely shot... I don't know why pregnant women would ever think they are not beautiful! I know I never felt beautiful then, but I appreciate it now.

I have a "color in sepia" that I did as a Selective Desat outtake...

How do I get sepia in photoshop ?

Well, I'm still using PS 6, which I am assuming has fewer bells and whistles than the newer ones...

If I remember right I converted to greyscale and then duotone...picked a color that was sepia-ish. I've slept since then, so I don't know for sure, but that sounds right. :o) LOL

Hey gaurawa

Adobe recommends using PANTONE 722 C as sepia, then changing the curves in the duo-tone to meet your needs.
make a BW image, then go to: image/mode/duo-tone select your second color as PANTONE 722 C then you can re-convert your image back to RGB and add selective color!
peace!

Inga,

The yellow in the flower complements the sepia tone nicely, but you may want to try something interesting with this... Just for fun, try desaturating the yellow channel on the final image to about half of what it is now... let that yellow be a little more subtle and see what the mood turns to...

Just a thought...

I've also had pretty good success using PANTONE 143 and nearby colors.

thanks everyone for the replies. Yes it does work for me, but working with PS 7.0, it doesn't allow me to save as a jpeg image in duotone .. the only options I get are PSD and RAW ( and similar ) but no JPEG option ?

Edit:
I tried 'Save for web' and could save it as a jpg image. Is there another way to save as a jpeg ( for duotone images )

thanks,
Gaurawa

convert the picture back to RGB color before you try to save it. This should allow you to save it as a jpeg.

take your finished duotone and change the 'mode' back to RGB. Now all the other 'file save as' options should reappear (e.g. jpeg).

Lovely shot! She is beautiful. I really like the setup, but I would move the lighting to the other side of her or more towards her face because right now you have her arm and lower body more lite up then her face. Try getting some shadows on her face. Good job!
