I got up at 4AM this morning and drove to the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Pittsfield, NH hoping to get a few shots. It was worth it.

Balloon 1
Balloon 2
Balloon 3

Lucky your little null link is working.

Stunning photos, I'd love to see something like that.

I think the first two would make great prints, just up the saturation a little.

Getting up at 4am would be hard. But getting photos like this would be worth every minute of lost sleep !
Super job

I love the first. Just a bit of work to darken the upper sky, imo, would be worth your time. But it is almost perfect and would make a great print as-is.
the second one is just as pretty but I'd clone out the people on the left since the color makes them stand out.

I can never get fog like that! *cry, pout, sulk*

Great shots, have a wonderful peaceful mood about them.

Thanks everyone.
Here's another Balloon 4

You picked the perfect spot to take them at. Did you scout it out the night before? I like this one better than the other one of this balloon.

Holy $*@*! Any of these are an easy ribbon for a Free Study. It's nice to see the balloons low enough to catch a background like this, and the fog is just icing on the cake. I have a soft spot for hot air balloons since I pulled out an engagement ring in one. :-)

WOW! I love the colors, the lake, the fog, the composition. Everything came together perfectly for you. That's either luck, or some really good planning.

I'm jealous! :-)

Excellent pictures.
Early morning light is so beautiful. It sculpts and gives depth to
everything.
I agree with peecee......up the saturation a bit and you've got a beautiful print.

Absolutely gorgeous! The reflections and lifting steam from the water put this over the top. Super job.

Getting up at 4am is way to horrific to contemplate but it sure was worth it for you! Beautiful images!! You gong to offer any as prints?
08/08/2004 12:22:05 PM · #24
Great images. Voted for the gallery.

With comments like this I think I should offer them as prints. I also have 4 or 5 more that I need to fine tune before I post them. Don't have time today. Since my wife got up with me and accompanied me this morning now I have to do something with her. I just hope it's not shopping!
