Is anyone here who owns an Epson 2200 printer swapping out the photo black and the matte black ink cartridges? If so, how are you storing the cartridge that is not being used once it has been in use?

I Have a 2100 and I swap out the matte and photo black, I normally store mine for a short while in a tuperware container anywhere that is a good ambient temperature, not too humid, hot, cold etc. Obviously never near a heat source. On really hot days (I live in Turkey) I have been know to pop them in the fridge at the top.

How well does the 2200 do with the photo black ? Is that for glossy prints or other purposes ? I ask because I've gotten the impression more than a few times that the 2200 only really works well on matte prints.

The photo black is for glossy, semi gloss, and luster papers... anything NOT matte. It seems to do fine. My prints that i have done so far are nice and black where they should be.

I think the concern is mostly about bronzing - how do the look in light, from a low angle ?
