Yeah, I thought that about the Metro station. People may think you have foot fetish or taking up-the-skirt shots...

I will do you all a favor and NOT make you sick.

My own feet will not be used in this challenge...

LOL

I'm quite proud of myself because, despite Fruity Frisky Frisca's feet photo being one of my favourites, I really don't LIKE feet.

I don't know if it's because Frisca's feet kind of look like my own feet or what but that image doesn't bother me.

(My own feet are fine and other people massaging them is even better).

I hate other peoples' feet. I don't even really like my husband's feet. I can't stand touching peoples' feet and I prefer it if I don't have to see them at all.

Though I can cope with the sight of feet IN sandals etc.

So voting on this one might be a challenge I sit out.

BUT I did take a pic of MY feet and entered it into the challenge.

:o)

Manny missed a blue on this one, that's for sure!!!! It would have "walked" away with the challenge, IMHO.

That's exactly what jumped into my mind the second I saw the challenge, too.

Thanks, KV! :)

I have a great idea for feet, and it involves socks...and I think it's highly unfair and closed-minded to automatically deduct points for socks, shoes, etc. The instructions say feet...and nothing about clothed or unclothed, human or animal, or even inanimate feet (feet on a table, a chair, a sofa, a yardstick, etc.) Open up your minds folks, and let the photos speak for themselves FIRST before arbitrarily deducting points. :o)

Also, It doesn't say a "full frame shot of feet", I think everyone will be safe if their photo "has feet in it" like the challenge says.

would this have been ok if i had titled it 'using only one of his feet'

I think it really shows an emphasis on one foot.

All I can say is that I am super glad I turned my attention to this thread, otherwise my entries would have been redondent. lmao.

Bet you could get mighty close to a brown ribbon if you used a handfull of 1 foot rulers!
You know....feet. Never mind.

Some of the banner links (not the photos) off lordlucan's site are less than G-rated. Just a warning.

Exactly, the challenge description doesn't restrict it so personally I read that as being open - human feet, duck feet, sheep feet...

As long as there's more than one (it being FEET not FOOT).

I disagree. How about "Everyday Objects". Objects being plural, but the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, and 10th place photos only have a single object in the shot. I think the reason is that it simply sounds better to write the title in a plural fashion than singular.

Ah, but in the challenge description: "Take a common, everyday object that most anybody would recognize and use it as the focal point of an interesting photographic composition." This is singular. But the first place, third place and many others have numerous objects.

So unless they are really specific by saying "Take a picture of a single foot," or "Take a lone object" then I think the plurality of the object is really not specified.
