But you have me wondering about three things;
Where is her head?
What happened to her neck?
Why didn't you include more of what is in the background?

I'd agree with Britannica...

What happened to the poor girls neck and head?

The detailed thingy at the bottom right has me wanting to see more of it to find outwhat it is.

The pose, lighting and model look great though IMHO. The range of tones is good, although it looks like you're heading towards overexposure neat the top of the image.

The photo isn't about her head, neck, or what is in the background. Its about her body and how milk has done it good :)

Well, yeah... coz she certainly doesn't look like she's breast feeding...

Is there some 'in' knowledge for the context then? I certainly didn't get that from looking at the photo...

LOL Originally that's what I thought the photo was supposed to represent; the idea of breasts as milk production....

And I never even thought about the head and neck missing. Her face and neck aren't apart of the 'story' told by this photo. I like it, and I use that 'technique' quite a bit myself. Nice photo except the lacey/doiley looking halter top sort of covers too much. Not that I'm into gratuitous nudity..I'm just saying..

Apparently so... the "Milk... it does a body good" is an ad campaing in the US that has been on television quite a bit...

Ahhh, it's that whole TV culture thing. We'll probably get the ads here in New Zealand in 8 years time along with re-runs of Friends. :-).

I agree, the fact that her head and neck are cropped out is not a negative in my opinion.

Exactly.

This campaign has been around for nearly 15 years in the US. I remember some of the original TV Ads, with the little girl complaining about her big brother or this 'older guy' she likes named 'Michael Martin'. Through the commercial she ages, while he stays the same talking about all the good things that milk does for her body. Building strong bones, healthy teeth, hair and muscles...

The end, he looks at the very attractive super-model looking woman with this whole "OMG! How did that hotty get here without me noticing!" or something to that affect with the tagline...

"Milk... it does a body good.:

This image greatly captures the spirit of that ad campaign.

Bravo! Great shot.

Although, I do have to agree that it is a bit washed out near the top of the frame.
