I am desperately in need of anyone and everyone's assistance!

I am in the (very tedious) process of putting together a directory of DOG GROOMING SALONS worldwide for a travel publication, and it is extremely difficult to find much of this information. So I am asking dpc'ers for help since it is such a massively global site.

Anyone who is able to help me; please scan a copy of the yellow pages listings of grooming salons in your area - (are yellow pages worldwide???)- and email it to me. It would be listed under Pets, Pet Services, Pet Supplies, or something similar.

I have nothing to offer in exchange except sincere gratitude for any help provided! (Although there is a possibility that I can publish a Thank You for the contributions, and list all who helped.)

How about Yahoo Yellow Pages I plugged in my town and found quite a few listings. This was for my town Dog Grooming

That seems to work pretty well, but only for US and Canada. And - the name or description has to have the words "dog grooming" in it. But, it's still VERY useful!

It's kind of hard for me to search every city - most of our research has been done by state or country - I guess that's just too big of a search range! I will put some time in on Yahoo, as it does seem to be the most helpful so far!

Would still like to hear from other countries - maybe they have some search engines that work better in their country. (Or maybe I'm missing that part of Yahoo Yellow pages!)

I just did a google search with 'yellow pages' and 'australia' and came up with //www.yellowpages.com.au/search/searchEntry.do . It will probably work for other countries as well.

And this ( //www.yellowpages.co.nz/all-categories/home-and-garden/pets/pet-grooming/ ) using 'dog', 'grooming' and 'yellow pages'.

And search by catagory, for pet grooming, state by state in the US.

That's working very well. It seems to handle the state search much better than some others.

I know yikes thats a long address...

Switchboard

but anyhow switchboard.com is a fantastic search engine for business names and addresses...oh and for Altoona, out of all the ones listed Bubbles would get 4 stars from me...they groomed my carin for several years now my border collie/jack russell visits them once a year for a flea dip...lol what can I say he is low maintenence.

You probably have a mess of places to look now, but I thought I'd throw this your way. We use it at work and it is really useful. Has all kinds of ways of finding people and businesses.
