it seems like when i comment in a thread it kills it, like no one else responds to me. i feel invisible. i post my own threads asking for critique, my first post got NO replies and this last post got 2. I see lots of people ask for critique of images and lots of people reply, they even edit photos for others, offer processing advice, etc.. I get none of that. Is it because I am not a member? If so I will pay the $25 and get it out of the way.. eesh.. I just feel invisible...

*steps off soapbox*

No, I am the killer of threads. Proof by checking through the old forums :(

Ok I bow down to the king of killing threads. Your 3000+ posts dwarfs my 400+ posts. But I can honestly say that I've killed my fair share.

here

and here

here again

and another

Those are just a few of the ones I killed. Even if I dont kill a thread I get ignored.example, i'm somewhere in the middle I even asked people what they thought.

well everything I got is in my portfolio (link below) and I did place 7th in this past challenge (woohoo).. I need to understand my camera better, critique and instruction would help a lot. I am totally blank for this current challenge.. :)

Thanks

Well it's not even been a day and you are not supposed to have a clue about the challenge. Take your time and think about it. Do some research and see how others have approached it before. You were placed 7th and I was placed 68th. I don't think you need to worry about not having a clue.
And where's that link?

I have killed a couple....even one that NO body responded to...so, it happens to everyone....However, keep watching your forums with questions and perhaps somebody will know how to answer them....maybe just add a edit and put it back on the top 25 list on the front page again if that helps.....BTW, your Choices photo, "Peer Pressure" was alswsome and gave a message with clearity....muchless my spelling...:) However, love to continue to see more of your photos....except for the reallllllyyyy bad one's (smile) I have some of those.....so...have fun and be creative and remember that photo can last a life time....now I sound like a Kodak commercial....:)

I certainly know this fealing. I have thought it was because I was so clueless, because the others are jerks, because I am relatively new and unknown or because I do most of my posting late at night (US time) and there are fewer online.

But lately I have decided it must be because my statements are so profound, so well stated, that there is nothing to add to them. :p

Perhaps you should consider adopting that additude, it is working well for me. :)

I think you have some beautiful photos in there...I really love the calla lilies and the waterfall shots. There's a shot of some spools that's really cool as well. I was especially intrigued with the portrait called Michael 2. The shot of Logan with the traffic cone is adorable! You have a keen eye and see a lot of things some folks normally don't see. You also have the added luxury of living in a beautiful and scenic area. You are off to a wonderful start. Already placing 7th is a testament to that. And don't worry about killing threads...I do it all the time! ;o) LOL

Was on a call - back. There are some nice ones in the Floral section and there's one a particularly likes in the objects section. I don't acually have an interest in photogarphs of animals unless it's wildlife.

I think you have worked really hard on the images I am sure you will do brilliantly.

So you are clueless about the extraordinary challenge. I have submitted. It was an image of an ordinary object shot in an extraordinary way. It looks extraordinay in my opinion and I think it's an extraordinary shot. Hope the voters agree.

Thanks for the input guys! I really do appreciate it. I find it funny that some think I live in a scenic area yet its so hard for me to find things to shoot. I hope to capture some fireworks this weekend in Charlotte. Again, thanks for boosting my spirits guys :o)
