| I have been away from this site for a long time. I am sure this has been asked before but is this site always painfully slow? My attention span is too short to wait for images to load on every turn of the page. |

glad to see this thread -- it's taking close to 30 seconds for just a forum post to load. :(
Was just trying to pop in for something quick, but don't have time to wait, unfortunately. Will have to come back when I have more time. |

| It has been noted, but we are not sure exactly what's going on. There has been a significant surge lately in automated access (i.e. bots), so my own guess is that it's just too much traffic. |

that would be a shame -- because I tried to vote, and couldn't even begin to do it. :(
I assume that's why there hasn't been any new votes for the last 4 hours. |
