This DQ also affected the playoff round 1 outcome. Congratulations to the new qualified team.
It is now reflected in the DPL tables current standing page. |

Ok. Well, not ok, but it needs to be addressed. Based on the original jpg file we received for Georges challenge entry there was additional image data that wasn't on the original (hence the DQ). He didn't know he could submit a RAW file as an original and that's what was used (not the jpg) and the RAW file has all of the image data (i.e. no canvas extension).
His entry has been validated. We'll get Mita to update the DPL results back to what they were.
I hope this made everyone's day as exciting as mine was. :-} Oiiii! |

| I sent the jpg file for validation, but I used the Raw file (same shot) to edit the image and entered that one in the challenge. Strangely the raw and jpg (same shot, same click, same exposure) don't have the same sized content. The jpg file is a tiny little bit cropped. I don't know if this is a Canon RP thing or not, but all my raw files seem to have this little more canvas on all 4 sides. I shoot for decades but only now discovered this. |

Interesting. I have the same on the Iphone, DNG and JPEGs are different ratios, JPEG is smaller.
Back to having to beat you for the second time!! I hope it is not monsoon season in Taiwan ;) |

Ouch!! We had storm Benjamin (nice name, isn't it) yesterday in Switzerland but no damage on such enormous scale, just few trees and power towers. No injuries.
I hope you weren't out shooting! I watched Benjamin from the safety of the apartment. |
