I used the link in the challenge description and followed the directions from there. Worked great for me!

SO many fun entries for Bernie!

It was still Standard Editing rules, right? With the exception of adding in the one Bernie photo, right?

I enjoyed looking at all of them.

As Lydia said, many hugely entertaining images. Smiling, nice boost to an overcast February morning, and yet to dig out the car from the recent snow storm.
Never having learned Photoshop, despite it being part of the Lightroom/Photoshop package, I'm feeling lorn and wistful. What an enticing challenge, and I'm slumped before my computer muttering useless misgivings. Idea! How about a thought experiment? I'll present an imaginary image, which will totally circumvent my cumbersome lack of technical skills and hopelessly tangled, unsorted archive. Including, of course, images I've never taken. With me? Now, in Australia there are large bats
called flying foxes, of which there are four species. At rest they hang by their long legs from tree branches. They tightly swaddle themselves in their leathery wings, as we might cross our arms across our chest when cold. Okay, here it is. There's a group of flying foxes, dependent from their roost, and amidst them is upside down Bernie. Can you see it? So fun!
Feel free to rate this "image", comment, even favorite it.
This might be my ticket to entering future extended editing challenges.

We should do a side challenge where we describe photographs we are incapable of taking and/or editing.

That's the spirit! Heresy? Maybe. But an interesting departure, especially as an escape from forbidden travel, crowds, intimacy, etc.. Intergalactic adventure, no problem. Conversations with aardvarks, ditto. Maybe at some point do a challenge of making a photographic image of one of the imaginary submissions. Unleash your whimsy. What say?

A lot would depend on how well the concept was *realized* photographically, but IF the BG photo were decently composed and IF Bernie was skillfully inserted then you're looking at an 8/9 from me :-)

I like the concept but I think it would be hard to execute using the currently-required meme image of Bernie -- with his legs bent and crossed I think it would be hard to make his inverted position look natural. If allowed to use ANY image of Bernie you'd have a winner. :-)

Meant my original Bernie post as frivolous. But Don had a good idea of running imaginary images as a side challenge. Just as frivolous and fun, but defined as a starting point. For example 1) how I got my cat down from the tree 2) how to pass the time when stranded on a tiny desert island 3) what my pet/imaginary pet thinks of humans 4) if I could fly 5) time travel, past or future 6) etc. Suggested rule -- describe visually how the photo would look. No need to vote, it's just for fun, but whatever.
(Sorry to have diverted this thread away from the "Where's Bernie" challenge.)
