Well, it's a "meme" now. It's all over the internet in a gazillion places. So I expect that's sort of a moot point...

When I saw Bernie showing up everywhere I was thinking that this would be a terrific challenge. Even if you don’t know Bernie there’s lot of opportunities for some funny images using that picture as a starting point :)

Just a heads-up to those looking to start their entries; there was initially a problem with the location of the image (it was in a workshop) so folks were getting an "invalid image ID" error. That has been fixed. Also repaired the link, and added instruction for getting the image saved.

Update: my instructions for saving the image seem to work for me, but do not work for all. We are working on a fix. One admittedly kludgy work-around in the meantime is a screenshot. Though I cringe at suggesting this, it does in fact work.

By "Your image MUST include the following linked Bernie Sanders meme" do you mean that precise image or can we create our own from the same photo that includes the entire chair?

By the time will get to vote on this, Bernie will be certainly found 'cause there are zillions of images with him on every possible site.

Sure, I knew who Bernie was, even before the mittens image. I already submitted. This was really fun. The most difficult part is to choose the best image for the challenge. I had a number of really funny options. Looking forward to the voting.

Apologies, it was just a quick selection in Photoshop. I hadn't realised this would be used for the actual challenge:)

in this case meaning we can do all expert editing with the other image beside our image? meaning selection, trimming and what not?

No worries, I wasn't complaining about it. I just wanted to make sure that using an alternative was in both the spirit and letter of the law and not the illegal use of a source image I didn't take.

I've gone and moved the image hosting to my Smugmug site, and updated the link in the challenge description :-)
