I took some pictures late yesterday and late today (I know...imagine that!) and wanted to know a couple of specific things:
1. Does this look too cluttered? Of course, I couldn't get them to pose for me, so this was the best I could get, but I like it.
2. Which looks best...the left or the right?
3. I thought it turned out OK other than the dark areas in the top right. Any thoughts of how to fix it?
Thanks in advance for any comments or advice! :o)

1. Yes, a little, mostly because the background goats are the same color as the foreground goats and so they kinda blend together.
2. Right.
3. Clone it.

This blending of subjects is the photographer's enemy. Do not be too concerned, but always aim for the the better angles which will reduce such clashes. The right looks better. I second the the suggestion to clone the dark area. dan |

1. Cluttered isn't necessarily bad, but it does not seem that you are trying to communicate clutter, so yes, it looks slighly cluttered.
2. I like the tones of the left one and the composition of the right one.
3. Sure, clone it, but it's a lovely shot!
Keep up the good work!

Thank you guys! The trouble with the goats is that when one moves, the others all have to move, too...they don't want to miss anything! :o) I am hoping for a break in the rainy weather forecast for today and the rest of the week to go back and shoot again. I just think they are such interesting little critters!
I'll work on the cloning on the thistle pic...sometimes my cloning turns out to look kinda weird (not good at it yet) but it will give me a reason to practice.
Anyway, thanks for your help! :o)

You might want to crop out the butt hole of the goat at the very top. I have been trying to photograph sheep and one always seems to be ass backwards spoiling the shot. |

The reverse might be interesting, all ass backwards and only one facing forward.
