fixed for you.

I think people just looked and said "Canada? that boring, polite group? nothing special to take pictures of there. you can't capture 'im sorry' in a picture" ;-)

disqualified :(

I did read the advanced rules before and thought that a desaturation of parts of the image were allowed.
I clearly understand the disqualification. too bad for all the preparation work spent on it.

Sad to hear Georges. :(
I quite liked your entry and expected to see it in the top5.

I am confused. The Advanced rule set includes:
You may:
- saturate, desaturate or change the colors of your entry or any existing object within it.

What did you do wrong?

I think it's the way that the viewers depiction of the image was altered in the saturation and desaturation thereof. I disagree, knowing which image it is based on process of elimination and commenting on Georges' image previously.
I had hoped that nobody would flag it for DQ because it was well done, especially given the spirit of the challenge and the low number of entries already in.

Pretty sure I know which one this is. I didn't flag it, but I expected it to get DQed.

After the challenge is over, it will probably be another discussion where we reference a number of other images that were DQed for the same reason.

original (this was taken with a red filter on my lens)
DQ

I was like 100% sure that desaturation was ok this way. If I knew I would have taken the same shot with 2 red plastic sheets on the sides.
We learn from mistakes :) next time better
