i ended up going with the b/w. as much as i liked the contrasting colors, i liked the increased focus on the tattoo that the b/w gave.

Not particularly well received. It was a lovely sunset and I wanted to share a different perspective. Not so much, though, huh? Choice of subjects? Poor application of the technique? Sell the gear? :-)

Outtakes?

Love the dog! I think I like it better than the entry. Both are lovely.

the train yard was the best application of the technique. your entry was just too dark for me, the beach outtake is too dark as well.

Good feedback, Mike, thanks. I do think that pictures that tend to be dark vary signficantly based on monitors. As I said, though, it rocks as the lockscreen on my phone. :-)
