Also, how about next time disallowing composite images? The creativity is nice, but if my photo were chosen (and yet to be), I'd prefer to see how people would process it without going "expert wild"! Also, just in general, I think there should be some limits. |
I only did two images this time around because of a Mac meltdown... but I honestly wouldn't bother if there were limitations. I like that I can do whatever I want to an image. Maybe it's me, but I feel like if you put restrictions on it, you will have 15 edits of an image that all look just a tad bit different. I could point to a few images that were nailed right on the money by the first edit posted, everything from there was almost pointless. Now when you are allowed to add other images and textures, you can take the image to new places, but without that, everything just seems like a copy of a copy. Just my two cents, but I'm also trying to push the envelope of the PS skills I can learn too... so that's my counterpoint :) |
+1
I agree it would get very boring without being able to do anything you wanted to a given image. Sorry Neil. |
This is the beauty of letting the owner's of the originals decide the results. I suppose the owner can voice what general direction they'd like to see it processed in their comments on the original if they choose to. |
