I feel blessed with my bump from, I am sure, cutout himself. Huge bump from where I was. Frankly I should score better, but I refuse to do anything but a 'cutout'. Thus I am happy that I have participated. Something I should do more. cutout, you inspired me!

I really hope you don't think my image was/is a joke.
I'm sitting at around a 4.8 but I did the best I could.

what i meant was that my way of presenting reality looked to some as a kind of
craziness
now to be put in this weirdness to be part of it must be rather unsettling
i enjoined all of the pic, mind you
and my brutal commenting will continue

LOL, too true. I suspect some folks even managed to succeed by attempting to fail. :D

Your style isn't easily understood - but once you wrap your head around the thing, it suddenly becomes very fun and speaks to the imagination in all of us.

ETA: As far as being put into the weirdness - we could use more funkiness around here, that's for sure!

Fine arts next maybe? I know I'd enjoy that!

Don't get me wrong it won't ribbon, don't want it to, but the climb in score has been huge, bigger than any other photo which I can recall, and to think I nearly withdrew it one hour before the start, bc I thought it was silly!

Truth be told... I'm incredibly happy with my image. I didn't take this challenge jokingly or set out to be intentionally weird or over the top. I tried to embrace Cutout's style, while at the same time, incorporating a vision and inspiration that I had.

Let me put it this way. Most photography to me, throws a subject at you and your brain doesn't really have that much to interpret. When you see a photo of a car, a football player, or a landscape, you know what your looking at. It either pleases you, or doesn't. Even abstract photography generally gives your brain an idea of something it resembles. What I have always admired about Cutout's style is that it gives you a vision, and let's your brain tell the story. It's like that moment in the morning when you wake up from a dream but you can only really remember one or two frames of it. Your mind tries to fill in the story around those frames.

Anyway, I got a great comment from him, and I'm thankful for that. This challenge has definitely opened doors for me with the creative process. I hope to use this in future challenges so thanks for helping me along that path... :)
