Entry
Not sure I understood this challenge but perhaps this one would have done better

Even though I liked your entry and gave it a 7, your outtake would have been at least an 8 from me. Very nice. |

My first choice
2nd choice
My 3rd choice was the one I entered, it was the image the jury preferred the most. So maybe it was a good choice who knows, I will never know.
4th choice which I posted the other day, and garnered some interest.

1st choice
But the processing had one element that would have made it a possible DQ
.
.
3 rd choice
Good, but a little too busy
.
.
2nd choice and my actual entry
My Nature theme going again with Mother Nature and family. I'm not surprised some looked at as spooky or eerie for I can see how it may look that way.

My Entry
Other photos also taken on Christmas day...
though, I didn't consider these for the challenge
These, however, I did consider for the Art 2011 challenge.
Though, I'm VERY happy with how my entry faired in the challenge... no regrets what-so-ever. |

Perhaps I should have entered some more literal interpretations of art, they might have done better!

Not an "outtake" exactly, but I've had requests to see the histogram on my feeding swan, so here it is:
Amazing what you can do on the left side, eh? Be sure to "view full size image".

My outtake:
I know people said my entry didn't feel like art, but I (and many of my friends) consider these types of images to be art. It's things that we'd be happy to hang on our walls - and a few of us have blown-up images of this framed on the wall. We enjoy it and that's the main thing :)

My entry
Out takes
The out takes are what I do most of the time. My entry was an experiment into a different type of photography that is not my usual style. I don't think the score was unjust either. Would any of these other choices scored higher? Who knows... |
