Not if it's flying... Ostriches and Emus, Cassowaries and Kiwis, those are SOL birds.

Excellent challenge idea. The migratory birds have begun their journeys from south to north along the flyways. Our summer locals have begun to return from wintering grounds. I'm not short of birds now. Spring has sprung. Flying is good.

eta: fixed fat finger errors.

I can understand the "pain" you had when you took this photo... It probably burned your eyes just looking at some birds... EEEEUUUWWWWWW

If you're referring to his shot of "the bird", THAT one isn't flying :-)

Didn't we already do a "birds in flight" challenge?

My favorite subject to shoehorn into ANY challenge. It would be nice to place this subject into a legitimate challenge.

Perhaps we could use "non moving flowers" as the counterpart of an exclusive challenge:)

I got me a ribbon with flying birds: seagulls, no less! vawendy hates me!

My personal favorite flying bird image.

I like shooting pictures of birds (I currently have three in my top 5 entries), but I have yet to EVER get a bird in flight shot that I was happy with.
I just end up with a whole bunch of blur, even with a really fast shot shutterspeed
I would certainly try though. Who knows, maybe I will finally get lucky.
