I agree with your prediction of the ultimate entry count.
Regarding the retention of many originals, Terabyte-sized hard drives are relatively economical these days. Save 'em all, sort 'em later when you're sure you won't need 'em. Life is short. |

Best of 2009 had 446 entries so we shall see what the final tally is when the clock strikes 0.

Good for you - I still don't know what my personal style is:-? Still exploring - hmmm, maybe that is it. I entered something that is a bit different that I was happy that came out so well (my opinion of course).
:nod: I'm going to keep and open mind and look for what the photog wants to share with the audience - hopefully I will be able to tackle leaving at least comments for 20% of the entries. Can't wait to see what everyone has submitted to share.
I know in the past there have been group huddles to motivate people to leave comments such that no one gets left out - I.E the Hidden Gem Challenge. Anyone moved to do that?

I had a hard time finding something that I thought would be reasonably well received, that I liked myself, and that also represented my personal style. I had a lot of good shots that I felt would get lost in the shuffle of tons of other good shots, but I finally got one.

This may be the biggest challenge of them all and will certainly showcase the multitude of talent and diverse styles on DPC. Well over 300 entries and we can expect some seriously great work. |

| I'm in. The best I can hope for is my usual score. I expect the top 10 will all be landscapes. I'm going to celebrate the occasion by trying for a personal best in commenting. And of course I hope for a comment from Grog! |

| I'm in too. Don't expect much in the way of a score, maybe 5.5 if I'm lucky, but I'll vote on all the images in this one even though I don't normally vote in challenges I enter. I'll also comment on the first 10-20% of the images like we did in the "Hidden Gem - 1000th challenge". |

| It's in... My first photo I have photoshoped knowing what I actually did to the picture.. :). Even if it sinks..I am very happy with it. Really the ice breaker to me learning photoshop. |

| I'm in, too. I haven't had time to edit and re-edit an entry or even go through my files very thoroughly. I just chose two very different photos and worked on them briefly, then chose one to upload. I'm waffling, though, on my choice. Usually it's only after my score tanks that I start noticing everything wrong with my entry. |
