roz, I'd like to change my theme to "gallery 2010". Thanks :)

One thing my garden is never short of is self seeded trees. Next door has two big sycamores out front and an ash out back and they all drop seeds into my garden. Having ignored my garden for 18 months some of these baby trees have got a good hold and are three or four feet tall. First job is to dig them out.

Hi all - GregoryB asked me a question about the ISO of my leaves image - and I thought this was odd because I didn't bother to fill in all the metadata guff on the image. The site seems to have picked it up from the Exif in the image - is this a new feature ? They got the ISO, shutter speed, aperture and camera right - but the wrong lens. It didn't put any metadata info in for my picture of Santa yeserday though.

I think I'm going to change up my theme a bit. Don't worry, they'll still be snapshots since that's all I seem to take anyway, but I took over 600 pictures yesterday (and still kicking myself for not bringing more cards, ran out with about a half hour left of the parade, not to mention all the fun stuff we saw on our way back to the train). So they'll be New Year's Day Parade snapshots.

This was before the eclipse really started, and was taken before the fog lifted. I don't know how I got the ghost image.

hey roger .. yes it does pick up the camera settings but it doesnt recognise the type of camera or lens .. it just puts in the default ones you've selected in your preferences .. :)
ps .. it doesnt pick up the camera settings if you save for web tho ..

I quite like this but I just wish the very foreground wasn't so out of focus.

Hydrangeas always leave a good looking corpse so I tend not to cut them back much in Autumn even when I'm not neglecting the garden.

Photo 2 - This one is from 2004, and again with my Sony F707. It was 7 years ago, but I still remember the pain I endured trying to bend into a position for this shy little newt.

This meant to be worked on manually after the auto paint step is done. I just haven't got that far yet. I'll be posting updates as I progress with this image.

In cam processing can't do this one as it should be, but at least it got the color looking about right.
