I don't know why I haven't searched for a image of the Peter Iredale back when it was fully intact. I got lucky and found one. Next time I'm down there I'm going to try to get the same composition as the one back in the day.

Here's a couple versions of a photo I took last May from that angle. The first I had also recently purchased Topaz and was clearly having too much fun. The second is the same photo processed today (much subdued Topaz). Thanks for reminding me that I hadn't edited all my photos from that trip. Astoria has some really neat stuff.

Wow, not much left after a hundred years.

I have the opposite reaction: "Wow! It's been on that beach for 100 years and there's STILL that much standing? Amazing..." I'mmore used to wooden shipwrecks, though...

I'm amazed given how accessible the Iredale is... Photo from my same trip and entered into the Automobile Ad II challenge. Meep, meep!

I thought you couldn't drive on this part of the beach. Down South a little you can and way South by the dunes you can. Nice catch!
