Messing around with a package of super glue ...


For this round, I've been stretching the 90° rotation layer to maintain the rectangular shape rather than cropping to a square before processing. Do people have a strong preference for one "look" over the other?

I've started increasing the canvas size to incorporate the entire image after a 90 degree flip. I change the colour of the background to a colour that won't interfere with the blending mode or on subsequent flips, scale the layer up to cover the extended canvas in the corners.

Square or rectangle depends on the result of the flips.

The original was pretty dull, so I used "Match Colors" to add colors of a favorite picture to the mix.

These are totally charming! Like melted crayon. Like a visual giggle. I love all of it & it's wonderful how each one of us uses the techniques in their own individual way. At first it seemed like it might be pretty routine, but in the SC we're seeing it grow right out of the box. As for me, no preference. The variety is great.

This is why I never delete pictures in-camera, but copy every shot to a hard drive and back-up CD/DVD -- you just never know when you may be able to use the oddest image for something ...

Thanks for the comments on these. I agree that the white corners are a problem and will experiment with them when I have more time.

JuliBoc the rotations on number 2 were 90 degrees, then 45 degrees and finally 22.5 degrees.
