Ditto all that. I use my 1x website as my main site (with a directed address) and am quite happy with it. I haven't submitted for a while but thats because, as i said above, i've run out of things, that i am proud of and that i think fit the 1x ethos, to submit (after 40). I view the site almost daily though to browse the work published and i haven't even started to use the critique and forum sections. So i'm very happy with what i pay. The 10 limit does seem a shame but it does seem for practical purposes that i can understand. |

Although perhaps the duties of being a screener may feel depressing at times when no immaculate diamonds surface too readily...disconnecting from the internet would not be the best restorative for you.
Nope...the owners of 1x should provide all the screeners and most especially YOU with a SPA DAY with their newly bronzed account funds...::BEAMS::

| I do love that one too. Steve Hill was talking about exotic for the sake of exotic and I tend to agree with that assessment in most such images. This one, though, is superior for the setup and light and the classic portrait pose, and the fact that we can't really assess the interior of this person while not looking into his eyes. |

This was my last photo I tried at 1x (out of 6 I think, since last year). I literally hate the website from day one, and I have no idea what that stupid website for anyways... could be just for paid members? I don't know. I am out and clean... literally "clean" from a very freaky and dirty website.
I became a member of PhotoPoints and very happy about it. Fast website, much more members doing much more things there. No ribbons, however I like the way people actually leaving comments (unlike the freaky 1x)

I had my first ribbon at my 49th entry here at DPC, so my hatred to 1x has nothing to do with "publishing" my photos. "Hate-at-first-sight". Dark, slow, freaky website with absolutely deep in the hellish look with not much to see other than "over-done" photos.

I find  FocusPoint's extreme antipathy against 1x quite odd and bizarre as well. I don't think it's about his rejections really. I think sometimes somethings just rub some people up the wrong way and this seems to be a case in point. I really like the flower photo though Leo. |

It is a very nice image....don't get a complex. The owners of the site posted a statistic recently that only 5% of all the images submitted get published. We have all had our fair share of rejections, I have had 130 rejected (out of 236 submitted) so far...so don't feel bad. :O)

Thanks, and not to worry I never get to wound up about it, the comment was more in jest. This is one of those images where I like how it came out but realize it is not a real exciting subject and may not stand out enough to get accepted. It's just fun to come and whine every once in a while..... |
