Not the title but the picture should be creative? since I suppose you have to work with an existing movie title.... |

So I wonder if we can make up a movie title or if we have to use a real movie title? |

I think that is how I will approach it as well. It should result in the most creative and funny entries. |

I'm thinking of it as an excellent poster for a movie that didn't make it, where the tricky thing is to think of a good title. Because otherwise how do you get a failed poster for a known movie past the voters? Either way, this challenge should be good for more than a few ROFLMAO moments, which would be lovely. I for one am hoping for a godzilla poster from Art. [eta] There's got to be a way to work a flower into this!

I was thinking we were to pick a (real) movie and make a poster of something that would have been rejected for advertising that movie.

Wait, since it says "Posters" do we have to include two or more posters in the photograph?!?

Yep, I third this. Right or wrong I think it will make for the most fun entries. |

That is the part that gets me...this is supposed to be 'posters' so without text one is only doing a partial design/mock-up of a movie poster. The weight is now thrown heavily on the title of your entry. |

YOU MAY:
"use images that do not meet the source or date requirements as textures in your entry if they function specifically as textures and not to circumvent other rules." |

I was/am confused on this, becuase this here is an expert challenge //www.dpchallenge.com/challenge_results.php?CHALLENGE_ID=702
But then General said or am I reading it wrong?? I think what he is saying is that they can only be photographs and not textures or other art work

All photos used must be taken within the challenge period like any other challenge, and all originals must be submitted if validation is required.
Effects should largely be OK, but (unfortunately IMO) are still at the mercy of the subjective opinion of those voting on the validation. |

I posted that particular challenge as I remember the blue winner saying that the only bit of actual photograph was the butterfly the rest was made up. so is that still legal? |

Yes, what's the point without text? If that's the case, I'm shooting pics of text, then overlaying it. |

I know in the past allowing text was added to the rules. If we have to shoot pics of text to overlay this can make for some cheesy looking posters. |

that's what I thought. If they meant rejected movie how are we supposed to find what movies have been rejected?

I have to disagree. We need more challenges than encourage some humor. I'm pleased to see it. |
