anyone happen to notice that all three ribbon winners names start with J? 3 J's kind of fitting for the challenge theme...

I got a lot of contradictory comments on my entry, especially about liking/disliking the blur. I thought motion blur was important to making it more than a still-life. I saw one person didn't like the fourth ball in the pocket, even though it best shows the relatively sharp focus -- I took this holding it at arm's length over the table and framing in the twist-flip LCD screen. Isaac and one of the commenters liked the idea of the really blurry balls in the third one ...

GeneralE, I think your second outtake is really cool. I would definitely have voted that higher for using a longer exposure (to really show motion) and the bouncing yellow ball.

Thanks for the feedback, but all of these were taken at the same settings: 1/15sec | f/2.71 -- the difference is solely in the direction and force with which Isaac executed the shot (all from the same setup). I've printed it and it does look pretty good. I'm going to post a shot of the overall setup so you all can be impressed that anything at all is even close to being in focus ... ;-)
