PEOPLE!!!!!
everyone's team profile looks like that, it's the stats for the dpl which hasn't started yet :)
edit to add, date joined is date joined the league not the site.

If you look at their individual profiles though, they also joined the site the same day. I do find it odd as well that all these people just joined for the DPL, but will give the benefit of the doubt that the SC and Langdon have done their work that they are also on the up and up.

So. What will you be doing differently, if anything, for the DPL?

I'll be doing water drops for ALL challenges no matter what the subject. ;-|

Oh, you're right. I'm sorry I assumed that people had made the same mistake I did when I first looked at a team profile and thought from the stats that eveyone had just joined. I'll shut up now :P

Even if that is the case it still looks very suspicious.

Yes, RealLife can be very confusing, and often threatening. :-)

RealLife? What the heck is that?

Ben is to be congratulated for introducing new members. This is what the DPL is all about bringing new and old members to the site in a fun competition.

I missed slippy, I heard he was doing some undercover work for Langdon in the great buddy voting fiasco.

the trouble started in Asia I believe.

So it seems it'll be the current 45, plus the 3 that have 5 or more members (5, 6, 6 actually). One question: how will you be choosing the 4 extra players to put in there, from a pool of 111?

ETA: Will the other 107 be placed in another 12 teams, to make 60 teams total?

the number of teams must be divisible by 24 (48, 72, 96, etc).

He actually amended that and could have made 36 teams work... but I think he'll just do 48. Shame these folks couldn't get teams together.

One thing I did to finalize my team was to send private emails to about ten people for about 3 slots and the first to respond I sent invites. It sped up the process. Perhaps the captains on these remaining teams can do the same in the minutes remaining. Just a thought.

That's what I did too. When I set up my team, I was very aggressive. I had emails and PMs flying around everywhere. lol. I didn't let invites sit too long, and I didn't worry about maybe hurting someone feelings by doing so. It wasn't a luxury I could afford.

It worked.

If there are 107 people left, then maybe they can be radomly assigned to 7-person teams -- that would make another 15 teams plus a couple left over. If we can scrape together a few more people, we can add another 16 teams to make 64 total -- should be a usable number for several alignments.

I'm missing all the fun. :-(

So what you're saying is we need 5 more free agents to make 16 randomly-selected teams on top of the 45 finalized ones and 3 that will be "force-finalized."
