I vote on all the challenges, if I didn't I'd miss out on seeing a lot of the pictures unless I went through all of the challenge entries.
I recently got a personal best in the January Free Study! Here's my before and after, let me know what you think and any advice is nice!

Good work Andrew! What a cool looking lodge, the way it's put together is very interesting. Did two separate people live in each of the wings? I would just say to use a light hand with the HDR. You want the photo to be noticed, not the amount of pp done on it. Keep it up! |

| Tina has been driving me to physical therapy everyday and before my "back" issue, she hardly ever drove anywhere. I have to ride in the back seat with my left leg up on the console. Now... I'm not saying she's a bad driver, but the roads are snow covered and I'm a little nervous! I'll just keep my eyes shut! |

| ROFL! Yep, it's best not to look when you're scared. We got about 6 inches by about 2am when I got up and looked, got up this morning and it's RAINING! Yay! They closed our schools for today, I got the phone call at like 4pm yesterday. The roads are clearer today then they were Monday or Tuesday. I think it's funny. I haven't looked at the tv or internet news yet (just got up), so I could still be in for something more here, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed it stays rain. |

ok, This was the stupidest thing:
We have virtually no snow removal equipment in Williamsburg. When it snows, the schools close. They've already used up their now days (I think)
This morning it was only raining, so off my high schooler went to school.
Then it started to snow. They didn't call off school. They picked up the elementary school kids. I left to go do errands. I get a phone call 15 minutes later from my neighbor. They brought the children back home and dropped them off. They didn't call the parents. Her daughter thought my son stayed on the bus. School had no idea where I would be able to find him. He was on the bus for 45 minutes in an area where the bus drivers generally have no idea how to drive in snow. They then cancelled middle school and high school and sent the buses out to get the kids and take them home. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SNOW STORM! You could look at the radar and see that it was going to end in about 1-2 hours. It is over, the sun is out, the roads are melting. And my school district decided to be driving the kids all around in the worst of the snow and bad roads. Had they just kept the kids in school, it would have been much safer at the end of the day. And what the ... were they thinking?! Cancelling school after they're on the bus!?
Sometimes I really wonder about people.

| That's crazy Wendy. I'm glad your son made it home safely. The people in charge do make goofball calls, but I'm glad that I don't have to be the ones making those decisions! I bet people in your area will be talking about this one for a while lol. |

Well, I shoehorned a swift snapshot into a challenge again this week and I feel I should punch my single commentor on the nose for a comment that says nothing about the picture, praises the comentor faintly and casts vitriolic aspersion on the subject(s). He may be younger and fitter than me, though, so I'd be obliged if you'd hold him while I do it.

Due to snow, high winds, & drifting, they have effectively closed Pennsylvania and issued a statewide snow emergency.....
Interstates 81, 83, & 581 are CLOSED, and the Pa turnpike is closed to anything other than cars & light trucks. No trailers or combinations of ANY kind.
