| Well..my five best scores were in 2009. But not a very good year in other issues. I hope i can be in another challenge before this year is finished. |

Only 28 entries (not including the current entries, of course).
Average 5.7017 ... wow, this surprised me (i.e. it's higher than I expected)
First ribbon.
One 4th place, one 8th place.
Only three scores below 5
But only in the 55 percentile ranking on average.

I had a great year. at the end of 2007 I had put in my goals to get my average above 6.0, but 2008 was terrible, and my average dropped. So for 2009, my goal was simply to have a higher overall average at the end of the year. Never thought I could get the average above 6, but I was lucky enough to get there a few weeks ago.

I feel that I've made some very slow progress this year. As I learned playing chess in High School - if you can, compete with those better than you - it may annoy them no end, but you'll learn something just by watching what they do.
I have enjoyed your many, many excellent pictures during this year.

43 favs If I count my 35 for my best of 2008 shot which started my 2009.

I did let my membership lapse and have been a little uninspired as far as entering basic editing challenges is concerned but plan on coming back in the future.
Shot my first digital wedding, a dog show, and some adult and kid portrait shoots to end the year. |

I did better this year than I imagined. Target was to get overall average to 5.7 (not quite made that yet!)
Limited entries, 23 only, but average score 5.95
2 top tens (1 HM)
I am satisfied that I am getting closer to figuring out what works on DPC. I'm not sure my actual photography has improved, only my decision making skills on what to enter! |

I'm at 100 including my two entries in voting. I was surprised by the number of entries, seems to be a bit of an addiction, but I primarily hold  LydiaToo responsible for that. She has missed only one challenge this year, actually, I think she has only missed one since joining DPC. |

2010 I hope to enter more challenges...
2009 = 6 challenges
2008 = 6 challenges
I also hope to continue to improve over the next year and maybe get a ribbon or atleast into the top 10.

Well I learned more than I thought this year:
2008: 12 challenges avg. score of 4.20928
2009: 12 challenges avg. score of 5.50875
Whether my photos are that much better, or I just made better decesions on what to enter...Who knows, but I am happy. Hopefully I will continue to grow like this in 2010. Thank you to DPC and its collective members and non-members who are always willing to provide critical feedback.
