Can't anyone stay faithfull anymore..lol. Not just men, women too !!! One of the things I loved about Tiger was what "I" believed his values were and I know, everyone makes mistakes and this doesn't change anything regarding his ability to be a golf player.. But, it just IN MY MIND, changes how I think of him as a husband & father..

OH, and before all the "it's none of your business & this has nothing to do with us, it's his private lifers all step in"... I totally agree.. I just am speaking from a womens perspective and mine only and I really really really really really thought he was the last athlete to be caught in this situation.. I still like him, I still LOVE GOLF.. I'll still watch him & WANT him to win.. I'm just very sad for his children & wife right now..

OH, and this gives the ones who thought Elin took a club to that car a chance to look around and say "I told ya so".. LOL... Sounds to me like Tiger was in some boiling water that night...

I couldn't agree more. Maybe this is why he didn't quite have his "A game" on this season.

Well, Humanity wasn't really MEANT to be monogamous in the first place. It's honestly not instinctual. It's evolved into such a concept over the last few thousand years, sure, but the instincts of "go forth and prosper" are deep-rooted and strong. It doesn't make it RIGHT, when a person has decided to commit, they should be strong enough to stick to such a commitment, but it never surprises me in the least.

So the whole story was backspin, and Elin really clubbed the driver, Woods, when he tried to putter away from a rough wedge he drove through the marriage with some out-of-bounds links that were below par for his image?

LOL Shannon! Pretty good!

OK, here's what I want to know... did the cocktail waitress ask Tiger for money before she went to the press? I mean I'm sure they offered her a nice tidy sum but he's one of the richest men on the planet... Maybe he decided that saying no now to the blackmail payout beat paying out over and over again.

Sure, but at the end of the day his green will probably supercede his back nine play and although it'll surely take some time to get out of the bunker she'll forgive his hook. I will say he was the best at the bump and run until he hit the trap. It was a downhill lie at first but he'll get a mulligan.

It doesn't surprise me, but I don't just categorically dismiss it as "Just one of those things" either.

For humans, it's not just a physical, instinctual act any more, and we have evolved enough not to succumb to primal urges just 'cause it suits us.

I pretty much completely lose respect for someone who can hurt the person that he's supposed to care for most in life with an outside relationship.

If they'll do that, why would they stop at anything else that may cross their mind?

In my view, if you'll break that trust, you'll certainly lie, cheat, and steal from people who you don't have any personal attachment to, and with no compunction.

I'm guessing you heard the one about the cat that ate Limburger cheese and waited at the mouse hole with baited breath?

Just heard this on TV.

What is the difference between driving a car and driving a golf ball?

Tiger can drive a golf ball 400 yards.

That's why golf courses provide a separate place for the ladies to get teed off (so the situation doesn't Escalade).

Chip shot, Gary. Woods was a putts. I'm just a little on the fringe.

George Lopez and Wanda Sykes both had similar jokes that went something like this:

As we know, Woods is part african, part asian. It was obviously his african part that bought the escalade, and the asian part that did the driving.

Well, it's a good thing you aren't a judge or anything :D

1: It's not quite that black and white. People can have astounding morality for certain things, but not for others. I person that shoplifts won't necessarily do anything else wrong, and so it goes with people that cheat on their spouses. Trust, or lack thereof, belongs between the people that are involved.

2: Nobody said anything about categorically dismissing anything. I believe I wrote something about noting I didn't think it was right.

It still stands that I believe humanity still has to, and always will have to, battle hard against the instincts that we have, and this is one of those extremely strong ones, especially for males. Sometimes, that battle is lost, and when it is, then the person losing that battle will have to deal with the consequences. Thankfully, most of us don't have to worry about being in the public eye when it happens, and all the undeserved flak and fall-out that accompanies that.

Tiger's made about $900 million endorsing products -- essentially holding himself out as "someone we should all hold in high esteeem ans strive to emulate" ("I want to be like Mike" is another variation), so I'm not so sure exposure of any faults or failings is completely irrelevant or undeserved.

I'm sorry, but anyone that elevates ANYone to a status of "someone we should all hold in high esteem" because they endorse commercial products, or plays a mean game of golf (or hockey or football or acts in movies or whatever), is setting themselves up for a lifetime of disappointment.

Want to hold someone in high esteem? Find someone that is actually trying to make a difference, and not simply playing their publicist's game and occasionally throwing money at charities because it improves their public image to do so.

No matter HOW public a personality is, they DESERVE a private life, yet most of us are so crazy stupid about feeling horrible about our own lives, that we have to glom on to the private lives of celebrities so that we can feel better about ourselves.

So yes, any flak and fall-out that he, (or any celebrity gets for their private failings), is entirely undeserved. It's going to happen, though, and I'm not above joking about it, but to pretend that this has anything to do with our own lives and feelings is ridiculous.

OOOOHHH... so Tiger was going to the convenience store for a late snack, and was startled by an animated woman running after the car screaming in Mandarin Chinese. I'd probably veer off the road, too.
