Awwww, the video is really quite adorable! I'm not normally a spider person, but by gosh that's a cute one. Love how he kept getting on the lens. |

Jumping spiders basically helped me get over a phobia of spiders. We call them "jumpies" in our house and everybody just lets them be as they stalk around for prey...
This guy does great stuff. Quite jealous.

Awesome pics! I think a jumping spider was the most photogenic bug macro I ever took. |

A-ha. I caught in one of his comments (the robber fly) that he focus stacks. That helps explain the deep DOF at such high magnification. |

I have just bought an old minolta 28mm lens and reversing kit to put with my 75-300mm canon lens. I took a while to focus but my do you get some magnification with this when you get the sweet spot. With zoom set to 135mm wide open and the 28mm reversed I managed to get the small letters of a lonely planet title to take the full frame. estimate 5X magnification but you need a long time for the exposure due to 5X less light

Man, that's close! Something funny about his flickr page is that he's got all those extreme macros and mixed in with them is close up shots of the moon and the Milky Way, heh. Sup wit dat??
Shot of his setup
