okay, let's tighten up the feedback.
rather than just saying "i don't like it". . .
can you tell us "what" you don't like about it? |

I love it! It has a lot more information available without having to click on the challenge... and it's very neat and easy to read.
Perhaps another poll is in order... |

Its fine. I just don't like that the updated part no longer seems to match the bottom of the page where forums are listed. I like the clean look of the update, but it looks very piecemeal with the other 2/3 of the old page. |

I'd like to see the various challenges stand out a bit more. Perhaps a full border around them with a lighter (or darker) colour than the BG of the main page. Lose some of the spacing...the breaks between the challenge topic and the description almost seem the same as the breaks between the topics themselves...needs more delineation. Now it all seems to run together.
...but it ain't as bad as some of these ^^^ whiners are making it out. :-P

I'm not a big fan for one reason only:
It doesn't mesh with the rest of the page. It stands out too much, looks like an after-thought, and breaks a cardinal rule, which is too many fonts and/or font sizes on one page = bad. |

HOLY SHIZ! I HATE THE NEW HOME PAGE!
THAT'S IT! I QUIT DPC !
To give some constructive criticism, it would look better with more pie. I like pie.
BUT I STILL QUIT DPC. THIS PLACE HAS GONE TO HELL IN A HANDBASKET.
This is my last post ever.
Good bye.

I don't like at all, to me its very busy. As I scrolled down it stood out in a weird way, it doesn't fit with the rest of the site.

Looks incredible! Well done.
Now we need the option to see 5 winners per challenge if we have the screenspace. |

I don't like it either. It is hard to read...the older style was to the point. Although I do like the fact that the challenge description is partly on the front page. It would be better if all the challenge description was on the front page. Hopefully that would counteract the voters who don't bother to read the challenge description!

I'm not really a fan. I like the idea of putting more info out there, but I feel that this new format doesn't flow well on the page. I think that perhaps the challenges open for entry and the challenges open for voting should each be boxed in separately, so they don't flow together.
I also think that within the challenges open for entry, there needs to be a better distinction between Open and Members Only, and between the different challenges in those two categories. And perhaps it would be better to simply put Open in one spot and Member in another, so they stay together by challenge type, instead of being mixed in chronologically.

Well, it appears Slippy has taken down his portfolio. |

Yeah, it definitely needs a redesign of the forum section at the bottom. Not the whole forum along with it, just the way it's displayed on the front page.
I like the clean look, it seems more modern, albeit in the same exact way that 10000 other websites and magazines changed in order to achieve the same modern look. |

I wasn't sure what was going on. I had to refresh the screen a few times I thought it was a CSS error. |

I like the added information and the brief description. I just think it will take some time to get used to it. I have such a bad memory though. I really couldn't tell you what the old format was. I just know it was different.
DPChallenge in general doesn't seem to have changed as dramatically as many other websites have over the years, but I'm alright with that. I think it looks pretty classy. So when a change occurs it is quite striking.
Looking at it again, I think I'm already used to the new format. Good job.
