No one here is complaining, Just suggesting text or questioning the lack of.

Googled dpc and found this list of some examples of what DPC stands for. Might be helpful.

Ditto... just checked and was shocked it wasn't on there.
We're to create a POSTER, just like the Album Cover... |

Sure... there's 200 of them right here. ;-P |
I collect movie posters with over 1500 with only one with minimal type-(cloverfield-2008 less than 100 printed). //www.impawards.com/2008/cloverfield.html. so, the 200 here would not make the producers cut. the format on some of these motion picture posters are not even close. the standard one sheet today is 27"X40" for most world wide distribution. there are a few exceptions, but format ratio is normally the same. there are lobby cards which are presented stills , door panels, and half-sheets which deviate and are considered card stock- not really poster paper stock. if your going to have this kind of challenge it should be true to it's art and purpose. rules are rules, but for us to be truly creative with this, type is a fundamental element. |

I'm glad there's no text allowed. That's just one more thing for voters to zero in on (and font selection has a WIDE range of opinions!). |

I think the challenge may have stepped on the toes of your hobby! How far back does your collection go? |

I'm shocked that there are only 50 entries so far.
I'm wondering if people will take a photo and describe the PHOTO with a DPC word association and not make it a poster for an actual move with that photo as a representative. No matter what you do, you can't please everybody. I'm totally loving mine and think it is PERFECT for a movie poster. :~) Good luck to everyone who entered. |

Mine's just a photo... I didn't know how to create a poster without words and without adding things.
Now I'm really confused... All but one of the top thirty in the last dpc cinema challenge were just pictures....
or are you saying coming up with a title like deep purple columbine and a picture of a flower isn't a movie as opposed to daring, provocative co-eds? Although I'd rather see the deep purple columbine... :P

Sometimes I suspect that SC is just laughing at us. Like Jutilda I think mine is a perfect photo for a movie, a B-movie destined to go straight to DVD, poster & all, & wind up in the $5 bin at Wally-World. |

So, based on the list above, are folks expecting a three word title? What about "and, or, the, but, etc."? |
