I haven't entered a basic challenge in a while and have a dumb question. I looked at the rules and still not sure.

Can I use tone mapping? The whole image.
OK, well now I have a 2nd dumb question. Are we allowed to dodge and burn?

Basic editing one these.

Thanks

No dodge and burn for sure. Tone mapping cannot be done in programs like Photomatix, but you can use Shadows/Highlights to get similar effects and that is legal, as long as it is done on the entire image (no masking).

Tone Mapping Emulation Tutorial

As it's a global effect on a single image, it's legal in Basic.

It's not a dumb question. The answer is not exactly easy to find (although it should be).
