Consider commenting long before you reach a top 10% in a challenge. First, you are the world expert on how you see each image. Your comments don't need to address fine technical points when there is so much in the artistic realm to comment on (which many consider more important anyway). Second, you will find that looking carefully at an image to figure out which aspects work well for you and to formulate in words the impact of an image on you will quickly make you more thoughtful about your own images, and may even accelerate your arrival in the top 10%. Third, fresh eyes and fresh perspective can make your contributions much more valuable than stale group-think.
Since this is also a scoring thread, I'll register happinesss at rising from 5.2xx after 25 votes (very hard to understand) to 5.8xxx after 98. Expected (and hoped for) higher -- but only a few more days to wait for the final outcome. Have voted on all but mine and commented on 10%. Appreciate the three comments received. |

| I might as well pipe up here: We don't look well upon cut and paste, but normally this means "nice shot" or something like that. Re-using certain phrases, or sentences while still being relevant to the shot is certainly ok. Why bother looking at what someone gave someone else? If you like the comment and it helps you, then its good. |
