| am i in an alternate universe also? I have 8 glowing comments but it seems every time i get a comment my score goes down! |

You know what you like for yourself, and that's more than many people can say. 5.9 is a kick ass score in a challenge like this. You don't have some meaningless eye candy, and you don't have something truly unforgettable to the masses, so take some comfort!
This challenge, for me, was never about the score (although I am happy with my own 5.8) but about really trying to connect to some people and offer something I truly think exemplifies my own love of photography. Something that I would be happy to capture every single day.
That is what I've put forth, and score be damned, because I know what I want from myself. |

;D There's always a small part that is about the scores, of course. It's fun to see good scores. It's not my primary worry though.
I've received one comment in the last 7 hours. That's a worry. People are flagging! |

You know, when below 6 I don't mind anymore either. But I started with a 6.8 this morning (about 2 hours after rollover with ± 40 votes.) Then I do care :P

Ditto... Had it all the way up to nearly 6.2, in last couple hours has plummeted to 5.88 :-(

I'm giving all 3s with my glowing comments.
And my score doesn't rock last I checked (somewhere in the 5.0 range when I checked this morning) but I have a bunch of great comments. I connected with a few here and there, accomplished what I set out to accomplish, so it's all good. Unless you don't like my 3s with your glowing comment..... |

Not good. I was aiming for a <4.999 score with >10 x 10s, so now I suspect I've chosen the wrong shot. I'd take a few 1s if there's any spare. Perhaps the Doc's aberrant 1 was intended for me? |

Well if you're not happy I'll swap you mine. Don't let the score fool you. It's only that high because the first 40 voters, whom I'm guessing are all related to Paula Abdul, gave me a 7.5 to start out with.
