Paul, I'll recommend you go with "heart". Some of us really enjoy the shots that tell a story. Just don't worry about the score - seriously. In something this big, some of the finer gems will undoubtedly get lost, but it's worth it (in my opinion) if just one person finds it and sees something in it, you know?

One that I think would do ok on a DPC challenge and is a nice/good picture and the other that I just love because it captures a moments in time, it tells a story and quite simply I love it, BUT without the explanation behind it might be a bit lost and suffer on the votes. Should I submitt for the votes or for me? Head or Heart?

Always for you!!

DEB!! That's exactly what I did. Found one, reworked it and entered. If no one else likes it,it's ok because I do and it reminds me of a wonderful moment. :~)

Well that's it I made up my mind I'm going with the one I love and to hell with the consequences!! :)

Thanks again for the advice. Just incase your interested here is the other image (editing not entirely finished) that I would have entered. What do you think?

I took my best ever digital image yesterday. It's perfect. I predict that no one will appreciate this.

Well of the five that I had...everyone in the household picked a different one:-) My husband told me go with the one that tells a story...given what I state in my bio I think that is the one to go with. So I am in.

BTW this will be a double joy by looking for past gems: not just seeing what people will enter BUT ALSO the outtakes!!!:-)

Gee, I better get to work!

If nothing else it's been great fun looking through them. Along with all the crap there is some good times and great memories.

I would really like to get into this challenge but have only owned a good camera for about a month now. I have a picture that I really like that I took last night that I think I'll put in. Wish I could use one of my point and shoot pics but my limited knowledge of photoshop is holding me back. Every time I try to adjust the photo to make it look better it still is not challenge worthy, but I really like a few old ones that I have. I will continue to try new things on it until the deadline but have a feeling I will have to go with the shot I took last night. If I have to use that shot I apologize in advance for not really keeping with the spirit of the challenge but I will try my best.

If you want, I can try to help. Upload your top 3 into your workshop and I'll peek and see if there is any processing ideas that jump out at me. :)

It lets you put up photos without them being completely public, in order for you to work on them, and get advice from people that you decide to give the direct link to. (which is the only way for others to see it.). Unless someone knows the exact number of the image, it is hidden, and doesn't show up in your general portfolio.

It's for super stealth secret help! lol Really, it's a place to hold images that are not viewable publicly.

My Home/My Workshop, upload and PM me the Image ID's.

here's one from 1975, made by a Kodak engineer. 0.01 megapixels, BTW! and recorded to a casette tape.

Quite analogous to the beginning of photography itself -- you might call that image a "digital daguerrotype" or something ... thanks for the info!

Ha, no kidding. Some voters feel they have to see God to award a high score, and that's in a regular challenge!

I.....CAN'T......CHOOSE!!!!

I've narrowed it down to four entries but I can't decide on which one to enter. Where's my DPL teammates when I need them?

Anyone not voting want to help me decide?

I think you should go with #3. Always #3 :)
