i knew all week that i would win the "edge" challenge... and i also knew all week that i would get DQ'ed because i accidentally used the december member rules on an open challenge... my attention to detail lacks sometimes (also my biggest weakness in school)
oh well.. :-| thanks for giving me the "win" everyone!! :-) |

If you knew, why didn't you DQ the shot? That would seem like the right thing to do. Instead, Lang now has to recode the front page. :( |

sorry i didnt know i could do that: i read somewhere in the rules that they would not take down an image (i must have mis-interpreted it)... i guess it makes sense though.. sorry to whoever has to re-code

Accidently entering the wrong challenge may be excused as a lack of attention to detail. Knowing all week that you had an illegal entry in and not doing anything about it is not excusable. It is a lack of integrity. Sorry but your "sorry i didnt know i could do that... " just doesn't cut it. That isn't much different than intentionally breaking the rules and living to brag about getting away with it. SC ought to consider a penalty more severe than an ordinary DQ. |

Well, max, too bad that you didnt DQ yourself, especially if you knew you were going to win. Too bad you didnt know that you could DQ yourself & anyone else if you saw fit. My good side believes you, the other side thinks you knew you were gonna win & wanted folks to see it b4 you got DQ-ed. That's too bad. As I understand it, your shot won;t be in your entered challenges or in your profile unless you add it to your portfolio.
Fame & noteriety is sooo fleeting bc people jsut don;t remember. I hop eit was worth it!
It was a great shot though. Kinda super literal to the challenge topic but folks seem to like that here (sometimes).

Well if you wanted people to notice you, you did a hell of a good job. Great shot though :) |

I'm with you coolhar. It sounds as if this person let it stay in because, like he said, "he knew it would win". Now, not only do people have to work to get his picture off the front page, he might have convinced everyone that the new rules will not work because people will get "confused".
So, was it worth it? Do you feel great because you could get your picture on the front page for a day? I am so dissappointed in this site. Who would think people would cheat, for what? Really, what is so important that you are willing to give up all your self respect for an invisible ribbon?
