And up until Rob O had posted he got it also, mine was and technically is still a baghead so I didnt know. Im already moved on, I dont care if people dont like the shot. Art is subjective. |

Bleh, would still love more comments explaining the score.
So, I decided to channel my disappointment in being rewarded with a below five score by doing something creative and fun:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) It is also very tongue in cheek. Anyone who is getting a PW with this challenge or any challenge is quite welcome to grab and paste this blue,red,and yellow ribbon to display on their work.

I had to apologize to anyone thinking their view count is going up oddly - I keep going back to look at some of the absolutely adorable pets out there! Thank you all for sharing!! This one is fun to look at. |

I have entered very few challenges as well, and I did enter this one. I'm trying to enter more this year. Not so much for the abuse, but they do force me to work on my skills.

Im not saying that it could put off people, I have a very avg title that neither helps nor hurts the shot in my own opinion, however I think its interesting that it was the only thing that the person could up with to leave a comment on the image for. I just saying literally its all the comment says. Not the shot is great, or the shot is horrible... Just the title is no good. |
On mine (again, Grey challenge), it literally stated "the title hurts this one" ... as if to say the image scored lower because of the title. I totally agree the title is contextual, and can even alter the viewers mood depending. But to vote a photograph higher or lower in a *photography* challenge because of the title, whether it's just a sh!tty title or even because it evokes unwanted emotion, is silly. |
With the way things go in here sometimes, it could be worse!
Here's a few examples:
This photo hurts your score.
I'd like this if....it were a different photo.
Love the framing, hate the shot.
I would have scored this an 8 or higher had you removed the photo and left the frame.
Your model reminds me of my mother and I hate her! 1
Looks like you didn't even try!
I really like this shot and I'd give you a higher score, but my standard score is a 2. :)
Your shot is outstanding, the technicals are brilliant, the colors are so vibrant. What is it?
The title distracts me.
Where's the apple? Oh, wait, this is the pet portrait challenge. 2 I don't see an apple.
