nope. after four or five sub-5 entries (and one sub-4), I decided to give my camera a break. I *might* enter post-it note, and hopefully one of the ones announced tonight turns me on.

However, if things keep going like they are going, you may have an easy ride!

Soulman1978 since Sempermarine is convinced that I have the final point for round 2 are any of the challenges coming up after the Brown Challenge going to be for my round 3 or do I have to wait for all new challenges to be posted again?

Wow-- you are a quadruple threat! ;) I'm in nothing yet but hope to get into post it or one of the new ones announced tonight. Good luck to you although I think I'll need the luck! ;)

Joe, have the final round 2 matches been finalized? I am wondering who I will be facing off against. :) (thank God it did not start with apple cause mine is in the tank!)

It looks to me like imagesbytlp and andrewt both won their round 1 matchups so the predicted results stand. You may be wishing the apple challenge counted basssman7, because I'm getting a 5.1 in apple :)

My Apple is a little over 6.5 and counts for nothing (except my average). :=(

My post its is bound to ribbon and counts for nothing (except my average and personal best). :=(

Now I am stuck with the gas station and the tilted and I dont know if it will count or not (other then for the DPCO which is good but not for this h2h). :=(

I can "beat" that. I am now down to 5.08 and still dropping....my lowest scoring photo in a long time.

Apologies for the fact I've not updated the Begin/End results yet. I really wasn't very well last night plus I had no connection. I'm at work now, but I should (hopefully) be able to update the results tonight.

I'm back, fighting fit (pretty much) and the internet is temperamental but connected.

Right, no head-to-heads from the Begin/End, but I've called the remaining two round 1 matches:

andrewt beat dainmcgowan
imagesbytlp beat cynthiann

both on averages :-)

We now have our four highest losers, congrats to Judi, jasonlprice, dainmcgowan, and Quigley.

So we now have our final 6 round 2 matches in progress:

Judi versus Hot_Pixel
Alain versus Quigley
imagesbytlp versus JimiRose
andrewt versus JulietNN
basssman7 versus jasonlprice
dainmcgowan versus hajeka

The first challenge that counts for these is Post it Note.

OK, about my camera:

For anyone that didn't read my post from a few days ago, my camera's died on me, and I'm not sure how long it'll take to be repaired. I'm waiting to hear from the Sony repair centre as we speak.

Potentially, if the delay runs into weeks, which I suspect it might, this'll jeopardise my participation in round 2 against JaimeVinas. So what, I'm going to do for now is set up an alternate match between JaimeVinas and the 5th highest loser from round 1, who is Ecce Signum. That match will run at the same time as my match with JaimeVinas and will score in the same way as all the others.

If we get to a point where it looks like my camera will take weeks to repair, or if the alternate match between Jaime and Ecce looks like it'll reach a finish before the real match starts, then I'll turn the alternate match into the real match, effectively giving Ecce Signum my place in the tournament. I'm not going to do that immediately, however, as I might get my camera back with a week (stranger things have happened!)

Think I explained that properly? Does that make sense?

I guess I am just to far ahead of the game to predict what challenges will count for me now? I SO wish it was post it for me to but I think I will have a long wait.

Holly crap I made it through and now I get another stab at it. I honoured to be up against Alain as he is one of my favorite photographers and someone that I hope to meet and do some shooting with sometime soon. I hope I can give him a good match.

I have a hunch I may not last very much longer i this side challenge. I am also in the DPCO which means I will be entering the open challenges each week. Those are my downfall and will also kill off my previously high tournament average. Oh well.... I must aspire to reach new heights in open challenges! Good luck to all, especially Jason Price. :)

Barry, your profile says you have 4 cameras, am sure you could use one of the others? I may be in tilted landscape if I get my act and props) together so if you want me to be stand in I'll try and enter a few challenges just in case ;) And, if I'd have self dq'd my last shot I may have crept in as the fourth highest loser lol.
