I had such a hankering for Mother's pink and white animal coookies. You know, the ones covered with sprinkles and what was probably pure lard (only 10g of saturated fat per 2 cookies!). So I sauntered down to Safeway to get some with some grapefruit juice (the pure acid dissolves the fat!). Ya, Mother's is out of business. I am officially affected by the recession.

... if only I'd had the forethought to stock up on them, I could be reselling them to Achoo at incredibly inflated prices. :-(

Woo hoo! I really shouldn't eat them more than once a year anyway because they are so darn bad for you. June should be just about right... ;)

I haven't had my yearly yearning yet. If I go to the store and they're not there, I don't know how I will react. There's just certain things in life you don't mess with. My pretty pink and white "aminal quackers" are one of them. And ain't no one going to deny me the joy of all those sprinkles at the bottom of the bag! Heads will roll... |
