I am experiencing the same heat-wave as Ter (and 43 is 110 in American). The effects on the wildlife and on me are the same - hide. On the excuse that the heat has got to me I will be silly and call this a simulated wildflower.

Uploading images to DPC is temporarily broken, so
To work and back today.

The moonset is going to be great if you are west coast US, or more to the west, Hawaii, Au, Japan.

As I can't upload anything at the moment, here is a photo (and something a bit different for me, too) I took last Autumn that is already in my portfolio but hasn't had many views.

Looks like you have a wonderfully interesting route to work. And a long working day. Beautiful shots in there.

I'm going to have to come down there to Florida and have you locals show me where to find the local critters! I am so in awe of your access to these amazing creatures.

The housing boom has the local gators a little crowded.

Those gated communities never seem to work right anyway. The people seem to keep escaping from them.

Today, on the way to work.

A couple more of the gators. This is actually at a gator farm that belongs to one of my pals. They are not tame at all. An aggressive stance, and/or a good poke with a monopod makes them back off for a minute. They can outrun a horse for about 50 yards when they are really hungry or scared though. We were feeding them when I was shooting the photos.

This is the larger one behind the tire in the first shot. It took me a couple of minutes to get the nerve to get back into the truck after agitating them with my in your face photographing.
