Kookaburra sitting on my neighbour's antenna. Not a very picturesque environment, but accessible.

Very interesting character! I didn't know they had blue feathers. Are there different species of Kookaburra?

These birds make me smile every time I see a picture of them - they look so unlikely with their big heads, stocky bodies and short tails. A very clear photo with plenty of detail - but perhaps 'Kookaburra lives in the old aerial' doesn't have quite the same ring as 'Kookaburra lives in the old gum tree' - that said, if you get any more photos please post them!

Kookaburras are adorable! I just love the one we have here at the zoo. Great photo with him sitting on the antennae and the simple background! Are they common in Australia?

Very pretty bird. A little shadows/highlights might bring back some detail around the eyes, but very nice.

Nice feather details in this shot. Some wild critters do all right when they mix with our civilization, and some don't. It looks like this one has adapted pretty well. The layers of feathers are interesting.
