Yanko'd again... |
I hate it when that happens! I just looked at this thread again and I still don't see it mentioned anywhere. Am I blind this morning? |

I could only find two Ansel score threads. One is now locked, the other is some odd variety... so where are they? |

Ah, I did see that you mentioned the other one was odd. I guess my main point wasn't it's oddity, but rather additional info about the creator of said thread, and I hadn't seen that posted yet. |

ROFL! I'll let you slide. But he's from England, so his native language should be English. |

Actually, I've appreciated the generally witty thread titles generated by Hawkeye. I do agree that the proliferation of scores threads is kind of silly. I actually nearly started one on the AA challenge because I thought "Is your score in the ZONE?" was a killer title to honor the originator of the Zone System, but then I saw someone had already generated a thread long before rollover came, so I just punted...

I'm innocent I tell ya! It saddens me to hear he's from England. I assumed he wasn't a native speaker after reading his posts. Pay more attention in English class, young man!

If he really is 13, then his native language is "teenager", and that's not a language any one else can know. |

I enjoy the threads started by Hawkeyelonewolf - it's fun.
I have a simple suggestion for the score threads:
If one already exists - don't post a duplicate! And only post when the voting opens.
It doesn't seem like rocket science to me.
Yeh, the score threads could be generated automatically, but I kinda like the fun titles. |

I absolutely agree here. This really is a silly quibble.

I agree too, I like the titles of the scores threads, even if I don't tend to post in the threads themselves. But then I like puns.
The one suggestion I would make is having their own forum section away from "Current Challenge" so people that don't care for them can turn them off if they want.

My suggestion: a new website: DPCScoresThreadTitlesChallenge.com
Compete for the honor of naming the thread. Then Hawkeye can really be the Irene of score thread naming. :)
Seems clear to me that since Bush is now gone, threads like this will become much more common. :P |

I'm a fan of the witty titles and everyone having a fair crack at starting them. I even had the pleasure to come up with on of those witty titles once when it was 15 minutes after rollover and there was not yet a score thread. I think the thread title muses were out late drinking or something.

Hi Guys
Just to clear this up, I'm certainly not trying to step on anyones toes here and definately have no intention of upsetting anyone.
For the record I am English and my native tongue is English.
The reason I started the thread was to try a new way of looking at the scores during voting, to try and
take into account the number of votes as well as the current average and then post them in an easy to read table.
So once again I'm not after world, or DPC, domination, I'm simply trying a diferent way of interpreting the mid challenge scores.
Thanks

*looks around his house for the hidden cameras.
By the way, I'm used to teenagers being smarter than me. It's the internet's fault. Even 5th graders are smarter than me.
