Hmmm. OK, I registered at Facebook and it's all your fault, Christian, but it won't let me choose you as a friend. Sob.... I knew this would happen.... *sniff*....
Oh, but wait! It let me choose Peter as a friend but wouldn't let me see anything on the link he posted here. I don't think it likes me... wah!!!!

I'm back....
LOL! Well, the bad news is I got a "positive" test result. The good news is that after an hour of rest and 2 ekg's they did let me leave instead of sending me to the hospital. I go Friday morning to find out what the positive means in terms of what's next. |

(HUGS) Kelli, you'll be fine. No more surgery!
The big horse went quietly and, I felt, gratefully this morning. The barn was uncannily silent when I fed them, usually Brio and Traveller are squabbling and kicking at each other, the ponies are nickering, and at least one donkey brays. But they all already knew what was coming.
The vet was wonderful, the owners had never seen a horse be euthanized before so he was conscientious and explained what he was doing, how each injection worked and what to expect. Then he let Petey go.
After awhile we let the other beasties in to see the body. Once they were done, the deadstock removal guy came to get him, and was very considerate in how he did his job.
I held Brio while the vet and deadstock man did their work. She was puzzled by seeing him laying on the ground, then got anxious and confused when he was physically taken away. It was only then that she began to run and holler for Petey, as I thought might happen, so we brought her and all the other beasties in. No point having her go crazy and hurting herself. |

Susan, a noble and touching commentary. You certainly do have a way with animals - I admire your spirit and your sensitivity. Hopefully Brio will be a bit better by tomorrow. |
